Year 3 Day 126
Hexes Explored: None
In the morning, after being given both the magical pollen and directions to Devarre’s cottage by Tiressia, The Founders leave the dryad grove.
As they travel through the mist-bound forest The Founders find some Spirit Moss in bloom. Lynessa harvests some as the moss has mystical properties.
Late in the afternoon The Founders stumble onto the treant Vinroot who appears to be in a confused and violent state after consuming too much alcohol. With great difficulty The Founders are able to sober Vinroot up without hurting him and without him hurting them too much.
Towards sundown The Founders reach their destination a bald hill close to the Elven Citadel, Hex B7. The Founders have visited this hill before and Josiman heard a strange music.
Casting a dose of the magic pollen into the air reveals three immense and intricacy carved monoliths at the top of the hill and a small cottage at it’s base.
The cottage is the home of the druid Devarre but unexpectedly he attacks the Founders when they tell him why they have come. Believing that the druid is in some way possessed The Founders fight back with, mostly, non-lethal force and succeed in driving out what appears to be a willow-the-whisp that was possessing Devarre.
Once in command of his senses Devarre again is able to tell the Founders more about The Fanguard. Using druid magic Devarre is also able to locate stolen stones that make up the Fanguard; they are in then upper pool of Dead Man’s Drop. The interaction of the stones and water are responsible to the deep mists that cover the region.
The Founders spend the night in Devarre’s cottage.
Within the Fellnight Realm time stands still and it is always night. Creations of evil are empowered as are illusions.
The Fellnight Queen could not have been responsible for The Carnival of Tears as she is trapped in The Fell Night Realm.
